This is not your typical refinishing shop. I also
offer complete repair service and can replace or recraft
just about anything that may be missing or damaged
on your furniture.
This area represents some of the repair services I provide.
Please note that I've added a separate page for those pieces damaged as a result of Hurricane Katrina.
Be sure to visit all the pages!
There is just too much here to fit on one page. |

Repairs

 |
This drawer flew out of the back of the truck on it's way home from a store.
|
Broken joints, fractured seat, missing pieces - this chair was a mess! Not anymore.
|
  |
 |
These chairs all had split seats and loose joints everywhere. After repairs, each chair was cleaned and polished.
|
This rocking chair was broken, banged up, and much of the original finish had chipped off. While I tried to retain as much of the original material as possible, some new finish was applied and areas re-stenciled. The seat got most of the attention as it was really beat up.

This bed was poorly constructed to begin with, so it's no surprise that it snapped. The cheap particle board used originally was replaced with solid wood and new mounting blocks were made. |
|
A gentleman from Texas sent me this gate leg. It had been damaged in a move and was broken. I used new cherry to replace the missing material and make the leg functional once again. |

This bed foot board was shipped to the customer from Italy, but not packed well at all. One of the legs had been previously (very poorly) repaired with a lot of nails and glue. It snapped and cracked during shipment. It was properly repaired with no evidence of damage. |
|
This chair was falling apart. It appears that the back was forced too far and the joints just snapped. I repaired the joints by replacing the tenons. |

Antique Plant Stand
As this plant stand was passed down through
the generations,
many coats of paint and varnish had been applied.
There were
12 coats of paint to get through (including a layer
of aluminum paint!).
The split top was repaired and the entire piece refinished. |

Rocking Chair Refinishing / Custom Part
Construction
This rocking chair was missing two of the
slats in the back. I duplicated
the originals using antique planes and shaves. All
joints were reinforced
and the chair was refinished. |
